Community, Commitment & Character

Why I Deserve your Vote

I’m running for re-election and I’m asking for your vote, so you should be asking me: “What have you done for Mifflinburg while you’ve been our Mayor?”

Read my answer and I think you’ll see that I’ve been working hard for everyone in Mifflinburg.

The two most important parts of my job as Mayor are Public Safety and Public Relations.

It's my responsibility to help keep you safe and to make sure Mifflinburg is represented in a positive light and to maintain Mifflinburg’s wonderful sense of community.

Downtown Revitalization and Bringing Business to Mifflinburg

As a member of the Mifflinburg Regional Economic Development Alliance, I have partnered with MHRA to encourage businesses to open up shop in Mifflinburg. During my time as Mayor more than 33 NEW businesses have opened (and remain open!) in Mifflinburg. Seventeen of those businesses are in downtown Mifflinburg.

I work hard to recruit businesses to the area and I try to visit all of our business owners to see how I can help them succeed.  I am a past winner of the Outstanding Revitalization Award.

During my time as your Mayor the following businesses have opened in Mifflinburg:

Landlord Ordinance

The Landlord Ordinance holds landlords responsible for their tenants. This Ordinance requires that landlords evict tenants who are engaged in criminal activities. It also prevents convicted drug dealers from renting in Mifflinburg. I consulted mayors and codes enforcement officials in boroughs and cities in Central PA to develop our Ordinance and I helped write and pass this ordinance which will help reduce crime in our Community.

Future plans

• Dog Park; working with a local resident to create a dog park in the Borough

• Exploring ideas for a Springtime community event

• We are forming a local Anti-Heroin Coalition as part of Senator Gene Yaw's "Project Bald Eagle". This is very important, the heroin epidemic has touched everyone and we have to fight it internationally, nationally and especially locally.
